TO BLOOM
4 April - 2 May 2025
Color is a phenomenon that transcends simple definition. It can be at once energetic and soothing, melancholic yet seductive, a symbol of power or historically elusive. The exhibition To Bloom emerges from an exploration of the color blue—not just as a pigment, but as a metaphor for transformation, identity, and discovery.
The journey of To Bloom began at a studio visit with an artist, whose work with lapis lazuli—a mineral historically more precious than gold—sparked a deeper inquiry into the significance of blue. This led to broader questions: Where does blue occur in nature? How has it shaped cultural narratives? Why does it evoke both sorrow and grandeur?
