Rachel Uffner Gallery is pleased to present Ten Years, a special exhibition commemorating the gallery’s tenth anniversary. For this exhibition, which also marks the gallery’s 80th show, each of the sixteen represented artists have generously agreed to showcase a new or neverbefore- seen piece. Ten Years features works reflective of each artist’s aesthetic and process while also displaying the breadth of the gallery’s program.
Rachel Uffner Gallery opened in 2008 at 47 Orchard Street in the Lower East Side. In March 2014, the gallery relocated to its current home at 170 Suffolk Street. This expanded, bi-level space has allowed the gallery’s artists to evolve their practices to a larger scale while working in a more flexible environment. The space has also enabled the gallery to host a greater number of exhibitions, organized in-house and by guest curators. Over the past decade, Rachel Uffner Gallery has built up a roster of international artists at various stages in their careers—many of whom have been included in significant museum and gallery exhibitions worldwide.
Rachel Uffner Gallery would like to sincerely thank all of the artists who have exhibited here, the individuals who have organized shows with us, and those who have visited the gallery throughout the years. We are extremely grateful for your time, energy, and support. We truly look forward to expanding the dialogue with all of you as we continue to learn, grow, and evolve with influence from the artists and individuals we have the privilege of interacting with. Finally, we would like to extend a big thank you to our colleagues—artists, galleries, writers, collectors, curators, and museums— for their constant creative inspiration.
