Erica Mao (b. 1994, Columbia, MD) received her BFA from Parsons School of Design, NY, in 2016, and her MFA from Columbia University, NY, in 2020. In 2023, Mao had a solo exhibition, Reach Through the Veil, at Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York, NY, as well as a two person exhibition with Robert Zehnder, Buried Deep, in 2022. Recent group exhibitions include Jack Barrett Gallery, New York, NY; James Cohan, New York, NY; 1969 Gallery, New York, NY; Coma Gallery, Sydney, Australia; Harper’s 512 Chelsea, New York, NY; AM PM Gallery, London, UK; Sea View, Los Angeles, CA; Island Gallery, New York, NY; Sarah Brook Gallery, London, UK; Embajada, San Juan, PR; Everyday Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium; North Loop, Williamstown, MA; Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles, CA; and NADA House, Governors Island, New York, NY. In the summer of 2024, Mao completed the Rockaway Artists Alliance Residency in Fort Tilden, NY. Mao currently lives and works in Ridgewood, Queens.
